Asheville
Eighteen-year-old Asheville resident Jennifer Thornburg has won an Outstanding Activist Award from PETA2 the world’s largest youth animal rights organization for her successful effort to have a dissection choice policy for students adopted at her school. Last week up on the Blue Ridge Parkway Helen and i saw a huge number of motorcycles at the Pisgah Inn. Apparently, it was a ride for Breast Cancer Awareness, which is not only a wonderful cause but something that bikers can get behind, i’m sure. Heh. That’s why each bike had a pink ribbon.
Anyway, this woman’s T-shirt said “Feel your boobs” and the man next to her was trying his best (while laughing).
