Hey, if you’re looking for the most fabulous fixture ever in the FreakinAsheville corner of the woods, the one and only world famous Kat Box that you’ve been reading for a blue million years, you’re going to have to go over here.  You won’t find it on FreakinAsheville at this moment, and there should be a big blinking sign that tells you all how to find me, because that’s why you’re here, for me…  The Kat Box is chock full o’ my usual mood-swingy angst, the same angst you’ve been enjoying for a really long time.  So go here and enjoy!

Our MotherSite (kind of like MotherShip*) is growing by leaps and bounds. Or something.

Somebody (and by somebody, I mean not me) has started a blog at FreakinUniverse.com called “Olde Mother Freaker.” Some very strange meanderings, but why this stuff isn’t published is beyond me.

You may need to have some caffeine (or Nyquil - or both) before you read. Nice. Very nice. Weird. Very weird. Check it out here.

*speaking of mothership, has anyone seen that Tom Cruise is building a 10 million dollar bunker to hide in when Xenu comes back to Earth to zap it with lasers? And sharks with frickin’ laser beams attached to their heads. Katie’s hair is longer than he is tall, and it’s probably a lot smarter than Tom, too. Apparently being as dumb as a bag of hammers, short and bat-shit crazy is the way to huge success as an actor. I’ve got two of the three. And I’m 6′ 3″. I should have smoked more as a baby.

Pasty-faced Irishmen should not wander about in the sun. Our place is in the cave, slaving away with pixels and the terribly important logo design. Our only sunshine should be the stuff that filters in through the little cracks between the blinds.

But, Brewgrass was great fun. Laughs and ideas, affirmations and a sense of being on the brink of a world-changing. Tasers for the poor and beer for the thirsty.

As I was sitting here rubbing aloe on my lobsterized forehead (or fivehead in my case) I begain to think. I don’t generally wax lovely, but I gotta say - and you know who you are - I could not think of a better group of sailors to be on this boat with. We’ve got the captain, we’ve got the first mate, the navigator and the ship’s glorious missus. I’d be happy to just swab the poop deck.

But, we’re at sea and we’re reaching for our promise…
